THE FIRST WEEK IS OVER! and i lost 2kg!
yay me!
so how was this first week?
much better than a diet usually is. usually i become obsessed and i can't keep it up and slip into a backslide and then feel guilty and go on a binge.
not anymore.
i realise i could've lost more on my first week, but i deliberately took the "longer" road.
if at a time i get a real craving for something, i had it. but only after thinking about it.
because here is the thing. i want this a lifestyle change. this is how i want to live for the rest of my life. and i like it so far.
eating lots of fresh produce. fruit and veggies. no white bread. had a wholeweat roll about two times.
having oats or rice krispies in the morning, with 2% low fat milk. bit of sugar.
for lunch cold meats, like chicken or so, with cucumber and tomato, which i love, so it's great.
and dinner usually a piece of fish or ostrich or something, with veg. i have it with provita, and in between eat fruit if i feel peckish. which is not really a lot of the time because of the duromine, oh duromine, HOW I LOVE YOU!
i didn't really have any bad side-effects. had a few headaches, but i basically get headaches daily in any case because of my high weight (damn you, weight, damn you).
i found i got extremely thirsty, which is GREAT.
struggled to go to sleep about 30% of the time, quite awake. rest of the time no problems.
my period started 2 days ago, and found i was extremely peckish just before then. i got a scare, worrying why i was suddenly craving things - but then it dawned on me, aaah, of course.
it's already better, so no worries there.
haven't really started on exercising, but i am envisioning it, ;-) don't want to do too much too soon, i am afraid that makes me fail - that is what happened in the past. so i am easing myself into it.
